Walnut and Pecan Granola

This would make the perfect quick breakfast or snack. Try adding this granola to some yogurt and berries for an easy breakfast or snack.

The base is nuts, oats and chia seeds. To keep things on the healthier side, we went with maple syrup for natural sweetness. And our Öko-Caribe 70% gives a flavourful boost to the roasted nuts and seeds.

Easy to make and delicious to eat, enjoy!


  • 120g gluten-free rolled oats

  • 45g chopped pecans and walnuts

  • 10g chia seeds

  • 10g cocoa powder

  • 20g coconut oil

  • 50ml maple syrup

  • 40g of our Öko-Caribe 70% dark chocolate, broken into chunks



  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

  2. To a blend (or alternatively a mixing bowl), add the oats, nuts, chia seeds, and cocoa powder. Pulse (or stir) to combine.

  3. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the coconut oil and maple syrup until melted and combined. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix or stir well.

  4. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes stirring halfway to ensure even baking.

  5. Let cool completely. Then add the chocolate. If not consuming immediately, place in an air-tight container and consume within a week.
